Antique childs side button boots

Description

These shoes were purchased from an estate sale that had a family owned general store that had opened in the early 1900s. These shoes were in the general store. The store has been closed  up for several decades so time, weather, and the occasional moth have made their marks on these little gems, but they are still in great shape. There are a few rough spots, a couple of small moth holes. The stitching, and soles are still in great shape. The left shoe is missing 1 button at the very bottom. The leather is a little stiff, but still bendable, and can be easily fixed with some conditioning. I haven't tugged too hard on the buttons because I do not want to risk the thread breaking. I honestly believe that if these were conditioned properly, they would be suitable to wear. These are a fantastic find, and perfect for displaying or collecting in general. The inside has the numbers 4148 stamped. There is also a stamp on the bottom of the shoes, but I can't make it out completely. The top of the toes on the shoes still look brand new.
