Self-Healing Failover
In the event that the physical computer your VPS is running on fails, our systems detect this and automatically mount your VPS on another available computer, then they automatically point your IP address to the new system and your VPS is brought back online in the exact state it was when the failure occurred. This is a free option called 'High Availability' and uses SAN storage (100% SSD).
Your own private RAM
All our VPSs provide 100% dedicated RAM, we don't risk overcommitment with burstable/shared RAM.
Guaranteed CPU share
Our advanced virtualization system ensures that all VPSs get a guaranteed share of CPU cycles.
Australian based servers
All our servers are located in our Melbourne data center.
Instant setup of your VPS
Upon completing the order process setup of your VPS is immediately started and takes minutes.
Dedicated IP Address
You receive a public dedicated IP address (2 for cPanel accounts), you can order more through our control panel.
24 x 7 Service Monitoring
In our control panel you can setup 24 x 7 HTTP/URL monitoring (with text string searches) to notify you of any failures via Email and/or SMS alerts. This features 1 minute monitoring, multiple notifications and even automatic rebooting of your VPS after a number of failures.
Managed Hardware Firewall
We can firewall out any unwanted traffic at the hardware level before it reaches your VPS. You can setup your allow firewall rules in our control panel, then enable the firewall to block all other ports.
Australian support
All support staff are based in Melbourne. We offer phone support during business hours, and quick turnaround email/ticket support outside of that.
Control panel for VPS management
Our extensive control panel allows you to shutdown, start, suspend, take snapshots, mount dvds, console access and more.

POWERFUL BILLING
Supported billing models for Cloud include: Recurring, Resource-based, Metered, Flavor (EC2-like). Services can be Pre- or Post-Paid depending on your business needs.
FLEXIBLE PRODUCTS
Easily build & assign forms to your products, and let your customers decide about resources needed with charges applied accordingly. Handle upgrades automatically.
SINGLE PANE OF GLASS MANAGEMENT
Your customer manages all vital aspects of service through client portal. Managing cloud resources does not require leaving HostBill interface. A basic cloud instance can be provisioned through the order page. It is located on premises in our Melbourne data center.
Basic Networking
In a Basic Networking setup, the Guest VPS Instances use the same IP range as the underlying CloudStack and Hypervisor archit
ecture.
When designing your IP Schema, allow sufficient IP Addresses to cater for all of your CloudStack infrastructure including the Guest Instances.
Consider using an IP Range such as 192.168.0.0/20 for each Zone, as this will provide over 4,000 addresses IPs per Zone. Warning:, If you use a /16 subnet for your first Zone, there would be no more Private IP Addresses left for additional Zones!
IP addresses will need to be reserved for each POD, and a Guest IP Range assigned during the initial configuration of the Zone. Every Host, System VM and Guest Instance within the whole Cloud must have a unique IP Address.
Each pod in a basic zone is a broadcast domain, and therefore each pod has a different IP range for the guest network. Guest, Management and Storage are common to Basic and Advanced Networking, Public Traffic is only present in an Advanced Network configuration.
Public IP address
is obtained from a dhcp server.
Instance
must always have its networking set to DHCP.
Stopping and Starting VMs
Once a VPS instance is created you can stop, restart, or delete it as needed. In the admin UI, click Instances, select the VM, and use the Stop, Start, Reboot, and Destroy links.
Remote Access to VMs
The user is able to access virtual machine console through the web management UI.
End User Interface
The end user UI is an AJAX-based UI available in popular browsers including IE7, IE8, IE9, Firefox 3.5+, Firefox 4, Safari 4, and Safari 5.
We offer a number of features for end users:
Service Offering Description, Template Management, Virtual Machine Management, Network Management, Event Logs, Snapshot Management, Dashboard
Hardware fail over
- when hardware devices on the host start to fail, guests can be safely relocated so the host can be powered down and repaired.
Snapshots
Your VMGuest supports snapshots of disk volumes. Snapshots are a point-in-time capture of virtual machine disks. Memory and CPU states are not captured. Users can create snapshots manually, or by setting up automatic recurring snapshot policies. Users can also create disk volumes from snapshots, which may be attached to a VM as any other disk volume. Snapshots of both root disks and data disks is supported.
Advanced Cloud Instance
Provides AWS-style networking with a single network where each VM instance is assigned an IP directly from the network. Guest isolation is provided by security groups (IP address source filtering)
Testlabs Australia Advanced Cloud Instance Provides a sophisticated network topology. This network model provides the most flexibility in defining guest networks and providing custom network offerings such as firewall, VPN, or load balancer support. Our Advanced Cloud is located in Melbourne CBD for all your hosting needs.
The traffic types are management, public, guest, and storage traffic.
The Guest VMs communicate with each other over a network that can be referred to as the guest network. This network is isolated and the administrator reserves VLAN ranges to provide isolation.
Load balancing
- guests can be moved to hosts with lower usage when a host becomes overloaded.
IP Load Balancing
The user may choose to associate the same public IP for multiple guests. The system implements a TCP-level load balancer with the following policies:
Round-robin,Least connection,Source IP
VPN
VMGuest provides a L2TP-based VPN service to guest virtual networks. Clients native to Windows and Mac OS X may be used to connect to the guest network. The user is responsible for creating and managing users for their VPN.
Port Forwarding
A port forward service is a set of port forwarding rules that define a policy. A port forward service is then applied to one or more guest VMs. The guest VM then has its inbound network access managed according to the policy defined by the port forwarding service.
Firewall Rules
By default, all incoming traffic to the public IP address is rejected by the firewall. To allow external traffic, you can open firewall ports by specifying firewall rules.
Stopping and Starting VMs
Once a VM instance is created you can stop, restart, or delete it as needed. In the admin UI, click Instances, select the VM, and use the Stop, Start, Reboot, and Destroy links.
Remote Access to VMs
The user is able to access virtual machine console through the web management UI.

Hardware fail over
- when hardware devices on the host start to fail, guests can be safely relocated so the host can be powered down and repaired.
In an Advanced Networking setup, each Account is allocated the following:
•
Public IP
, this is a live Internet Address and is assigned to their Virtual Router
•
Guest IP Range
, for example 10.1.1.0/24
•
VLAN ID
for the Isolated Guest Network
The default Guest IP Range is the same for all Accounts within a Zone, however it is possible for a Root Administrator to assign custom IP ranges to different Accounts.
Guests Instances within an Account communicate with each other and their Virtual Router via their own dedicated VLAN. Guest Instances can be running on any Host within the Zone, the VLANs on the Layer 2 Switches ensure they can always communicate by using VLAN Trunking.
