WHITING "VIOLET" STERLING POULTRY SHEARS W/ NICKEL PLATED STEEL BLADES

Description

Poultry shears with nickel plated steel blades and sterling silver hollow handles and with a spring and safety catch, in the Whiting "Violet" pattern, hand engraved in script on one handle face end "TBP".  The shears measure 10 3/4 inches long.  Marked on the side of one handle with Whiting's trademark and "Sterling" and on the other "Pat. App. For", and on one side of the blades "J.A. Henckels Twin Works Germany".  There are tiny nicks and fine scratches on both handles, and shallow surface scratches on the blades with some dark spots on the unplated inner faces of the shear blades, otherwise in very good antique condition.
